SupraTest Prüfgerätebau GmbH is designing and building an eddy current microscope suitable expecially for quality testing of arge-area superconducting films.

The films are cooled with liquid nitrogen, and a probe is scanned above the surface of the film. We use a special design of the probe, which can achieve a spatial resolution of 50 µm. Single defects which are smaller than these dimensions can be detected as well. The scan of an 1 inch wafer is done within two minutes and gives an overview of the film homogenity as well.

If you are interested in purchasing the system or if you like to have your films tested, please do not hesitate to contact me.
